2026 Exhibition

A vibrant celebration of local creativity returned to the heart of the village in August 2026 as the Cartmel Art Society hosted its annual exhibition at the Village Hall.  The exhibition showcased an inspiring range of affordable art created by local artists, with free entry, free parking and a welcoming pop‑up café offered refreshments throughout the weekend.

Visitors of all ages and interests were warmly invited to explore the work on display and enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere at the Village Hall. Visitors also had the chance to vote for their favourite painting.

Cartmel Priory School’s GCSE students once again exhibited selected pieces of work at the exhibition, offering a fresh and exciting perspective from emerging young talent. Students, staff and parents attended the preview evening on Thursday 13th August and local artist Ben McCleod awarded prizes to three pieces of work of particular merit, creativity and promise.
