We will be meeting at Witherslack Village Parish Hall on Wednesday 27th May at the usual time. I have been in the hall before for Ben McCleods quiz once a month and it’s a great hall with really good kitchen facilities and toilets. So we will be fine. There is also a good amount of parking.
From the A590 take the turn to Witherslack and drive .6 of a mile straight ahead. The hall is on your right, and the car park is at the rear of the hall. Post Code for sat nav is LA11 R6S. It is easy to find, believe me. And I’m pretty rubbish at directions.
I’ve also hear from Francis Winder and this is what she would like you to bring for her workshop.

Frances said: I  will be showing a variety of watercolour techniques and also showing Gouache, also a watercolour method, if people have it they could bring it as well. White, black, red, biue, and yellow are useful basics in gouache, You don’t need any other colours, but they are all a luxury. Salt, masking tape and cling film are useful additions. I tend to use white paint rather than masking fluid, but that is personal preference.
I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL.
FRANCES.

She would also like us to bring, sketches, photos of our chosen scene etc. She will show us how to format our own scenes, select a composition that is balanced etc..

We/CAS have decided to but five tubes of Gouache so that everyone can have a go if you haven’t got you own. Plus bring all you usual watercolour painting gear, brushes, favourite paper and paint etc.
Don’t forget about Janes lovely demo next Wednesday on painting horses. I know it’s going to be fab as Jane is a great artist.
