Meetings in June were a demonstration in creative uses of media to create imaginary landscapes led by member Rita Denby; and a workshop with Francis Winder demonstrating different mediums to create loose, colourful art.
As July is generally a quiet period in our calendar due to holidays, we will be holding one meeting on the 9th of July to prepare for the exhibition being held in August. This will be an opportunity to get advice on framing, display, pricing and labelling. Members will also be able to volunteer for rota duties for the exhibition as well as handing in their list of paintings, plus sizes, ready for Kev Bell to plan the display boards.
Our Annual Art Exhibition takes place from Friday 15th August until Sunday 17th of August, with a preview evening being held on the evening of Thursday 14th of August. Invitations for guests will be available at the meeting in July, if anyone doesn’t already have them.
