I have waited the majority of my adult life to be able to have time to paint. Career pressures did not allow the time so when I retired a fews years ago and immediately treated myself to paints, papers, pens and canvasses and got cracking.
I use watercolour and oil paint mainly and try to draw or paint something every day, usually landscapes of places I love or inspire me or people, animals etc. I draw with pen and ink, paint family pets and lately my grandchildren’s portraits.
I love being part of Cartmel Art Society. It’s a friendly and diverse group of people. We get together to learn new skills and painting techniques and definitely have a lot of fun and enjoyment.
