I studied art at Kesteven College of Education in the sixties. My main area of expertise was actually in 3D but I enjoyed teaching many forms of ‘art’ during my career. I retired to Arnside and immediately signed up to art classes with the inspirational Kate Bentley. Full of enthusiasm, I began experimenting with various media and techniques. I sold quite a lot of my work in the local shops in Arnside plus some at the annual Milnthorpe exhibition. I have been a friend of Margaret Auger since the age of 4 and she persuaded me to join Cartmel Art Society. I have never looked back since. We have so much fun, I have met lots of lovely people and and I have learn so much through our workshops. A keen gardener, my inspiration comes from my immediate environment…..plants, flowers and the landscapes around me in all their wonderful moods.
